Eva and Christi are two foodie moms that met volunteering at their kids K-8 school in Seattle, Washington. Their kids were friends and liked to play together in first grade. The moms took their kids to the yogurt shop at Green Lake on Fridays after school.
After many conversations over delicious yogurt and tasty toppings, they realized they had a lot in common. Their mutual interest in trying new foods, learning about the specialty of a food and learning about the culture of where the food originated from. They also liked the idea of building community and bringing people together.
They decided to go on a food adventure around North Seattle. Over the course of a year, they took turns choosing a new cuisine to try monthly. They enjoyed Taiwanese, Chinese, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Indian, Russian, Afghani and Middle Eastern restaurants. Their next idea was to visit some of the best bakeries and coffee shops.
While enjoying a morning at a bakery they came up with the idea to make this into something they can share with other moms and their families.
