
Ingredients:
- 1 cup minced cabbage
- 1lb ground chicken
- 3 cups deveined kale
- 1 ½ teaspoon minced ginger
- ¼ cup chopped scallions
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 package dumpling wrappers
Directions
1. In a bowl, add the package of ground chicken and add in white pepper, salt, garlic, ginger, chopped scallions and soy sauce. Mix the chicken and seasonings together for 3-5 minutes until you see it starting to become a smooth consistency.
2. Mince the cup of cabbage and add in ½ Tablespoon of salt. Mix and set out for about 20 minutes. Drain excess water from cabbage by squeezing the cabbage in with your hands.
3. Incorporate the seasoned chicken, cabbage and sesame oil together in a bowl. Set aside.
4. Place the wrapper in your hand, put about a tablespoon of filling in the middle of the wrap. Next, put your finger into water and moisten the edge of the wrapper. Fold over to gather and press to form the dumpling half moon, you can make 5-6 folds to close the dumpling.
Tips
Add oil to the seasoned chicken. If oil is incorporated into the meat early on, the seasonings will not be absorbed.
